GRAND RAPIDS, MI — November 2, 2026 — Buell Motorcycle Co. announced today that the Buell Super Cruiser has won Rider Magazine’s 2026 Motorcycle of the Year award, topping a field of 10 evaluated motorcycles to take the publication’s highest editorial honor.
Following the announcement on October 3rd at the Big East Powersports Show, three Super Cruisers took to the pavement across upstate New York for a celebratory editorial ride with the team at EPG Media. There, the team could feel the personality of the bike that won first place.
“What happens if you take the basic proportions and attitude of an American cruiser, give it the chassis dynamics of a sportbike, and then bestow it with enough power to make the whole thing completely ridiculous? The answer is the Super Cruiser,” the staff at Rider Magazine wrote in its 2026 Motorcycle of the Year (MOTY) feature article. “Motorcycling doesn’t move forward simply because someone makes the next version of what already exists. It moves forward when someone takes a familiar idea, turns it sideways, and asks what else it could become.”
