Riding the v2 Super Cruiser: Facts and Feedback from Fellow Riders

We're thrilled to share feedback from our Super Cruiser prototype test rides. All have been overwhelmingly positive!

Together with a select group of riders, YouTuber Cait Bergeon and our own Engineering Lead - Matt Laurent - are able to share their firsthand experiences on the Super Cruiser.

Cait Bergeon, Youtuber and Influencer:

Cait is a a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, artist, and content creator with the handle Sassy_pantss on Youtube, Instagram and TikTok. After her test ride on the Super Cruiser V2 prototype, Cait shared the following feedback:

"I love that this bike is super lightweight because it makes one-footing it super easy.

“I'm 125 lbs - about 5'2" - and I am not flat-footed on this bike… but I don't find that an issue because it is so light."

Matt Laurent, Engineering Lead

Our own Engineering Lead, Matt Laurent, has also commented on the responsiveness of the Super Cruiser, contributing the benefits of our chassis below:

“It's definitely a different experience than a sports bike, but I don't feel out of place compared to the sports bikes I am used to. I have a tinted visor and you can't see, but there's a huge smile behind my helmet the whole time I'm on this bike. It's completely track capable.

... when you lean the bike over, or you push with the handlebars for it to do something different (other than up-and-down), there's a response rate between your front and rear wheel before it actually does something. The torsional rigidity basically makes that response rate quicker, so there's less wind-up, less give. Things happen more quickly. You don’t get that equation with a [traditional] cruiser frame (which has a single backbone chassis).”

Matt Laurent - Engineering Lead, Buell

The Version 3 (V3) Super Cruiser prototype will carry a high-performance Brembo dual disc braking system, allowing for the eventual integration of ABS technology on Buell’s bikes. In addition, the Super Cruiser will debut with a newly developed, high-performance Fox Racing front & back suspension. This decision ultimately improves overall rider safety while paving the way for the Super Cruiser's next goal: Global expansion.

Stay tuned for Part Two of this three-part series, where we'll dive deeper into the personality of Buell’s upcoming Super Cruiser.
