PART II

The year is almost complete, and more riders are getting to know the Super Cruiser as we continue toward a fall debut in 2025!

In Part II of our “Facts & Feedback from Fellow Riders” series, we pull from Nick Urso’s experience. The Founder of NBT Clothing was able to sit with us alongside Buell Engineering Lead Matt Laurent to share his personal experience in riding the V2 Super Cruiser prototype.

Nick Urso, Founder of NBT Clothing

Nick, a passionate motorcyclist, and entrepreneur in his own right, recently had the opportunity to put the Super Cruiser through its paces on a thrilling test ride through the peaks and canyons of Utah and beyond.

According to Urso, a big perk of the Super Cruiser’s performance was the bike's stability and handling at high speeds:

"It's a legit cruiser with sport-like power. It's absolutely insane. I've never ridden a cruiser with that much power before... When you're ripping it, you're held in tightly on the seat... It tackled everything to the best of its ability.

We were on the open roads doing well over the posted speed limit. It was a really fun bike, it felt stable, it felt solid."

Nick’s trip with the Super Cruiser was highlighted by the bike's raw, unfiltered personality and zero heating issues:

"I love how raw this bike is and I love that there's no tech on the bike... I want to hop on the bike and not have to worry about shit... Why do you need all that fancy tech?

I haven't had any issues with any of the Buell bikes regarding heat, and it’s great. I've ridden Ducati's, and I've had issues with heat on the V4S (my buddy's). With that thing, you're on it for five minutes, and your legs are on fire. I didn't notice any heat issues on the Super Cruiser, and I’d know. I live in south Florida and that's where I've been riding the SX over the summer.

The Super Cruiser is just an overall fantastic bike... I can't speak highly enough about it"

Matt Laurent, Engineering Lead

Laurent has also had a similar experience, commenting on the responsiveness of the Super Cruiser due to decisions made for wheelbase and a high center of gravity:

"Buell has always been good at mid-corner. The Super Cruiser is a great stable bike mid-corner, and it’s quite a bit faster than the average sport bike.

The Super Cruiser’s… center of gravity (CG) is quite high, so it flips really fast - faster than the Hammerhead - and it already has a longer wheelbase by design, so it’s theoretically more stable because of the longer wheelbase.”

Matt Laurent, Engineering Lead, Buell

Stay tuned for the third installation of our “Facts & Feedback from Fellow Riders” series, where we sit with Youtuber Blair Snipes (@throttleblip) on the performance personality of Buell’s upcoming Super Cruiser.

Stay tuned for Part Two of this three-part series, where we'll dive deeper into the personality of Buell’s upcoming Super Cruiser.
